Welcome to Lessons Learned a new that I have been considering for some time.  Before we begin today’s premiere let me tell you what I hope the premise of this podcast series will be about…

In the summer of 2014, my mother at the young age of 96 ½ suffered a stroke that left her blind and confined to bed for the rest of her life, an additional 11 weeks.  It was during these 11 weeks when I moved into with my mother to oversee her care that my eyes were opened to many things I did not know – or at least I thought I didn’t know.

I was lucky to meet my mother’s neighbors and learn about her interactions with them, and some were women her age who attended elementary or high school with her and had stories to share bringing me one step closer to my momma.

We all learn lessons and this podcast is about the Lessons we ha Learned through our parents, teachers, clergy, siblings, and friends.

Weekly when I podcast with my brother Gary Just 4 the Spell of It, I learn more about him, the game of scrabble as well as little life lessons hidden in the conversations.

So today my first guest is my big brother Gary and as the story goes he is my big brother, older by 8 years because I pushed him out first, he is the first of three children born to Dorothy & Harmon Moss.  So as we begin Lessons Learned I have asked Gary to share with us who he has learned from and how has this impacted his life if indeed it has…
