On May 31, 2008 Alex walked across the stage at the State Theatre in downtown Cleveland, Ohio and received his high school diploma. Although this past year was a tremedous challenge for Alex and Rich and I, we made it through the highs and low however May 31st was a HUGE HIGH.
My mother traveled in from Detroit, a mere 3 hour drive. Although without the support of my cousin Kayla to drive her in she would have missed out on seeing Alex graduate. Kayla gave up her time to drive in (even with the cost of gas at almost $4 per gallon) leaving her husband for an overnight stay with our family. Having my mom join us was very special as Alex now only has one grandparent and after losing Rich's mom in December he has felt an even stronger need to connect with his Baube.
Steven, my oldest join us for the weekend too. Taking time out of his busy schedule. As many of you know he and some buddies have launched a new company - rogomo.com / please feel free to visit the site and use his services. We are extremely proud of Steven as he has seen his way through undergrad, law school and worked long hard hours in the field of law prior to being part of rogomo. He is still working long hard hours and our hopes and dreams for him is that he and his buddies have actually created a business that will progress and give them the satisfication they deserve.
During this exciting year we here in the Hale home have been very busy. Rich has gone back to school to complete his degree in Theatre. He loves being a student and he is very excited to be graduating in January 2009.
We also moved! We decided that after all these years to finally succumb to buying a condo. We purchased a Townhome in Sagamore Hills, OH. It is a three bedroom (now our office is not in our bedroom!). We have space to entertain and it feels like a home. Come See Us!
Our photography services are growing as well with photo shoots for graduations, bar mitzvahs, weddings and portraits. So keep passing the word, this will help put Alex through college (we hope.)
