Alex behind the wheel of the Beetle

Today Richard took Alex for his first driving experience. Alex got his temps over a month ago but trying to get Alex together with Rich and clam enough to sit behind the wheel has been a challenge. But today they got together inbetween Rich's teaching schedule and Alex did well. The two of them enjoyed their time together and Alex did very well. Not only did he practice in the parking lot of a local church he also pulled out onto Mill Rd and drove down the street.

Earlier today Alex appeared on Fox 8 with Music in Motion. We've recorded his appearance and have yet to watch it.....

Alex is one busy young man and although his growing up at times saddens me I am so proud of his accomplishments. I am looking forward to the time that he can drive himself back and forth to his many activities, which I also hope will include a JOB!

A special thanks to Rich for being so brave!

Today Doug Wilber and I (Karen Hale) had a conversation about COVID, The Vaccines, and a sense of returning to a more normal lifestyle once vaccinated. Not everyone will be vaccinated a choice of their choosing, but those of us that make the choice are able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
