Alex behind the wheel of the Beetle

Today Richard took Alex for his first driving experience. Alex got his temps over a month ago but trying to get Alex together with Rich and clam enough to sit behind the wheel has been a challenge. But today they got together inbetween Rich's teaching schedule and Alex did well. The two of them enjoyed their time together and Alex did very well. Not only did he practice in the parking lot of a local church he also pulled out onto Mill Rd and drove down the street. Earlier today Alex appeared on Fox 8 with Music in Motion. We've recorded his appearance and have yet to watch it..... Alex is one busy young man and although his growing up at times saddens me I am so proud of his accomplishments. I am looking forward to the time that he can drive himself back and forth to his many activities, which I also hope will include a JOB! A special thanks to Rich for being so brave!

What a Job!

It's been a long 6+ years working numerous part-time jobs and looking for a full-time opportunity that I would like and where I would be appreciated. It will be a week tomorrow that I was offered my current position at Bryant & Stratton and I cannot begin to tell you how good it feels to know that I can finally work at one MAIN job. Does this mean I will give up the many other things I do...probably not but I can be a bit more relaxed and take time off from my part-time jobs and spend my time and energy on my new position. It's taken a lot of hard work and determination to get to this point in my life but it has been worth it. At Bryant and Strattong we talk about Life Long Learning, and I have been learning and I will continue to learn and use my knowledge to move forward and upward. I feel blessed.
